Close Reading Strategies to Deepen Comprehension Across All Content Areas K-12

Designed to deepen understanding of best practices in reading, this session will emphasize strategies for supporting students with comprehension of content area texts. Together, we will discuss challenges students face with reading complex disciplinary texts, experience a ‘close reading’ lesson, observe a lesson through classroom video, and discuss implications for different grades, settings, etc. The session culminates with time to co-plan a close reading lesson for your students!
