Mansfield Center Executive Director Deena Mansour will provide an overview of the U.S. Foreign Service in the 21st century. She will discuss the mission of a U.S. diplomat to promote peace, support prosperity, and protect American citizens while advancing the interests of the U.S. abroad. Mansour will draw on her personal experience as a diplomat, addressing public diplomacy and human rights issues during her tenure at the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia. She will also discuss the international exchange opportunities provided by the U.S. Department of State to students and teachers, with a component on exchanges offered by the Mansfield Center.

Teachers who sign up will receive a Zoom link and passcode the week before the teacher workshop.
