Brightways Learning is hosting a two-day school administrators retreat June 4-5, 2021 in Helena, MT. Participants will be given the option to attend in person or virtually. The topics for each are:
- Friday, June 4: Resilience and self-care
- Saturday, June 5: Brain research and trauma-responsive strategies
Administrators have expressed the critical need to mitigate anxiety, stress, and trauma caused by the pandemic – especially for their students, but also to build resilience for themselves and their staff. This retreat will demonstrate how positive and dynamic student-adult support systems provide protective factors and optimize mental and behavioral health outcomes, both short-term and long-term. The retreat will educate administrators in student and educator/administrator resilience and well-being. It will also focus on brain-based research and trauma-responsive strategies. Participants will learn a durable common language and stronger connectedness that instills lasting resilience.
