Brightways Learning is hosting its 2021 Educators’ Confluence in Missoula, MT. This year’s theme is Re-Connect, Rejuvenate, Re-Ignite.
Join us to grow skills and knowledge to shape an effective learning environment. We all know that a socially-emotionally balanced student is one that’s also optimally engaged. That’s why socially-emotional learning (SEL) can’t be the job of just one person in your school! Day 1 – Understanding how the brain works can make you a more effective teacher! We will translate relevant neuroscience research into fun everyday activities you use with every student. You will be better prepared to respond to a student’s culture, learning style, in-the-moment stress, and pre-existing trauma. Day 2 – Discover the connection of brain science to adult-to-youth relationships for authentic learning and thriving. Together, we’ll explore strategies using an equitable, holistic, and research-based approach to student learning and resilience. Confluence content complements and amplifies any Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), along with Montana’s Health Enhancement Standards and CASEL’s five Core Competencies. The high-value content, engaging activities, and networking opportunities will also support your own self-awareness and regulation for personal and professional growth!
Visit the conference website for more information, or to register to attend. An agenda and list of speakers will be coming out soon.
